Aitzaz Ahsan, senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, while expressing his legal view on the foreign funding case, said that if the decision of the Election Commission is against any party, then the party will not be dissolved immediately. Does not have the right to dissolve, can only confiscate funding. 

Speaking on a private TV ARY News program, Aitzaz Ahsan said, "I am not in favor of dissolving any party. We have to strengthen the political parties." Even if a political party is dissolved, it comes under another name. He claimed that even if there was a small amount of funding, a reference would be sent to him and no party would be dissolved.

Aitzaz Ahsan said that even the government cannot be dissolved under Article 17. If such parties start dissolving then no party will survive. It is clear in the constitution that the parties cannot be dissolved on such funding. He further said that not only political parties but also politics is being targeted. The hearing on foreign funding will be held in the Supreme Court and a full trial will be held in this regard.
